The Journal of Icon Studies is an online, peer-reviewed publication dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of icons around the globe, from the Byzantine period to the modern era. It serves as an international forum for new scholarship on the theoretical, theological and historical significance of icons, their place within a broad cultural and artistic context, as well as their conservation. Leicester Readers in Museum Studies was launched in under the editorship of Professor Susan Pearce, the then Head of the Department of Museum Studies. Having continuously developed subject bibliographies since its founding in , in the late s the Department converted these into study packs of published materials for students.

Sylvia helps with onsite courses and education programs at the Yiddish Book Center. Prior to joining the Center, she interned and worked at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art.
